Ballroom Dancing

If you are a dancer, there are several opportunities to dance in the Fort Collins area. Our favorite is the Goodtimes Dance Club. The club has 10 dances a year – one a month from September through June. As dancers, we were very happy to find a club with live big band!

In addition, there are multiple opportunities to learn or dance blues, West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango. There are several group lessons followed by open dances.

Poudre River Trail Corridor

This is a super trail for road biking! The trail runs 21 miles between Greeley and poudre trail lisaWindsor. We rode this trail on my birthday and it was a great trip. The trail is paved and well-maintained and meanders alongside the river. The scenery is quite lovely between the two towns, particularly when leaving Windsor, the rolling hills may remind you of Tuscany. There is wildlife so don’t be surprised if you see a bald eagle. We did!

This is a nice way to spend half a day. You can ride to Greeley, enjoy a brew at one of three breweries in Greeley, enjoy a respite under the cottonwood trees, and prepare for the ride home.

One caveat. You will need to transport bikes to the trailhead in Greeley as the trail is not connected yet to the west side of the Poudre River Trail in Fort Collins.
